24 Hours of Le Mans – Hugo and his team qualify for the race
The qualifying rounds ended yesterday, after two days of gruelling racing. The United Autosports team made the most of these sessions to carry out fine tuning during the practice sessions. The qualifying rounds, particularly by night on Wednesday which are compulsory for all drivers, enabled Hugo to establish a first qualification time. Once again, Hugo’s car was the fastest Ligier.
Hugo : “Done with qualifying and now we wait for the big day! We are starting 15 out of 25. The car doesn’t have the pace that we need but feels good to drive and as everyone says, 24H is a long race. So far it has been a privilege to be part of what is without a doubt the greatest race in the world!”
Chase Carey, recently appointed CEO and executive chairman of the Formula One group, Chase Carey will give the start with Automobile Club de l’Ouest President, Pierre Fillon. Save the date for Saturday 17 June from 3 pm for the 85th edition of the 24 hours of Le Mans.
