Le Mans 24H race – Hugo de Sadeleer signs the 5th best top speed during the “Test Day“
85th edition of the mythical Le Mans 24H race is fast approaching. As the pilots are in French Sarthe since a few days to prepare this unmistakable event, yesterday’s “Test Day” was the occasion for Hugo de Sadeleer and United Autosport to affirm themselves even more as serious pretenders to the first places.
Brilliant performance for Hugo
With more than 60 cars engaged, Le Mans 24H appear to be this year again the unmistakable race of this season. Many racing teams hope to shine and create the surprise on this legendary 13.629km-long circuit.
United AutoSports and Hugo de Sadeleer will start the race on next 17th June.
Yesterday, Hugo was one of the rookies who took part in the “Test Day” to achieve a minimal time and be authorized to compete at Le Mans 24h race. A condition that Hugo has largely completed even signing the 5th Speed of this day on the whole pilots with a top speed of 333.9km/h. Such a remarkable performance! We can also note in the fastest pilots top 5 the presence of Rubens Barrichello who is still record holder of Formula 1 start with 323 Grand Prix! Hugo definitely seems to be sharpened enough to face this unique challenge.
Right after taking part in “Test Day”, Hugo has declared: “What an amazing race this is going to be, we had 8 hours of test today and as Le Mans 24 hours are famous for their long straight lines, the tight corners are also very impressive for rookies! But having said that, at the end of the day the car started to realize its full potential. We have well progressed today and we still have a lot of work for next weeks to be sure that the car is ready!”.
Before starting Le Mans 24 Hours, Hugo will attend free practice sessions and qualifying race that will take place on next 14th and 15th June 2017.
